Welcome to the new BIS Learning and Development website which provides details of the core corporate learning and development opportunities from the 1st December 2009.
We hope you will find the new website a useful on-line resource on the range of development opportunities available. These include leadership, managing people, appraisal and feedback, recruitment and ministerial briefings, which are centrally funded for BIS staff.
Access to the corporate programme is open to our Agencies and other government departments. It supports the vision for Learning and Development 2012 of collaborating and sharing learning and development across the Civil Service.
We have developed the website as part of our commitment to providing a clear, corporate learning and development programme that is easy to access and provides greater clarity on the responsibilities between the Corporate Centre, Groups, and Professions.
You can still commission learning and development in areas not covered by the Corporate Centre and we have provided details of a range of procurement frameworks which will help you find the providers you need quickly.
Learning & Development is not just about courses and we have included a range of links to on-line learning, resources, and other support that is available for staff.
