This course gives guidance on the Performance appraisal process and procedures. It also allows participants the opportunity to practice conducting performance and personal development appraisal interviews

This event is designed for people leading and managing others, and have direct line management responsibility.
Course Objectives:
By the end of the course, participants will:
- have a better understanding of the factors involved in effective reporting;
- be able to carry out their role effectively at each stage of the Performance Review cycle;
- be able to construct and agree objectives with each member of staff and modify these throughout the year;
- be able to help staff identify and meet personal development and learning needs;
- be able to assess, objectively and fairly, an individual's performance and suitability for progression/promotion;
- be able to put into practice the Department's standards of reporting
