Suitable for:
Mandatory for anyone who has newly joined BIS. It is recommended that you attend as soon as possible after joining the Department and within your first 3 months.
Course Objectives:
This course is designed to give new colleagues:
-
a concise overview of the Department, its aims and objectives and how it is resourced
-
the values, rights and responsibilities common to all colleagues working in BIS
- an introduction to performance management, career development and key personnel and other systems
As far as possible we will tailor the time spent on each topic to the needs of the group.
This learning supplements local induction by the line manager and Group or Directorate.
Duration/Length:
This event is 0.5 days.
Day One 10.00 to 13.00.
Cost:
Nil for BIS staff.
For all other delegates, including UKTI, Agencies and OGDs the cost is £63
