Course Objectives:
This is a modular workshop
Module 1 - 4 hour workshop will provide managers with a practical understanding of how to coach others to achieve their goals.
This workshop focuses on looking at what, why, how and when of Coaching to enhance individual & team performance.
Delegates will learn how to use a coaching model (GROW), to conduct coaching sessions through role play exercises
By the end of the Module 1, participants should be able to:
- Define the coaching role and differences between coaching and mentoring & counselling
- Identify benefits of coaching
- Identify & practice skills neccessary for effective coaching
- Describe processes involved in coaching using the GROW model
Module 2 - 1.5 hour coaching clinic providing the opportunity to refine & revise coaching skills, and discuss progress based on practical experience of delegates since attending Module 1

Cost:
Free to BIS staff, For UKTI and Agencies the cost is £75.
Precourse / post course work:
Delegates are required to bring along a goal that they want to achieve & this will form the basis of a coaching role play session, in the workshop.
